We Are Hiring for the Following Positions:

Legal & Marketing Assistant/ Law Clerk

We are happy to allow for hybrid work from home/ in office experience. Candidate would be expected to attend in person at our office or twice a month. Our firm represents individuals charged in the Ontario Court of Justice and Superior Court of Justice throughout the province of Ontario. The ideal candidate is professional and can work with a wide variety of people and personalities, with excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize a variety of tasks and requests.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greeting clients; answering and directing incoming calls

  • Scheduling meetings and managing meetings

  • Preparing annual maintenance packages for corporate entities 

  • Preparing monthly invoice reminder statements

  • Corresponding with clients and counsel

  • Time docket entry

  • Opening and closing files

  • Maintaining an organized filing system, both physical and electronic

  • Preparing and reviewing legal documents and correspondence

  • Design and present new social media post ideas - assist in producing articles and posts for marketing

  • Monitor all social media platforms for ideas and feedback

  • Maintain, update, post, and schedule posts on website and social media platforms for the company

  • Assist with strategies to drive engagement and growth for our brand across all social networks

  • Manage the email calendar for digital subscribers, strategically planning the timing of campaigns to optimize the customer experience

  • Perform copy-writing for all marketing initiatives

  • Assist in analytics tracking

  • Edit of internal videos and photos

  • Assist with daily administrative duties

  • Other administrative tasks

Preferred Experience:

  • Completion of a post-secondary Legal Assistant or Law Clerk program or Bachelor's Degree in a relevant area of study

  • Understanding of corporate & commercial law and legal terminology

  • Outstanding organizational skills

  • Ability to work a part of a group and independently

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Drive, Adobe Pro/ PDF expert, Clio, and social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and TikTok)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to build strong relationships

  • Knowledge of Photoshop or other social media editing apps

  • Ability to edit video

  • Outstanding multi-tasking abilities

Job Type: Part Time or Full Time, Contract (flexibility is provided)
